IgniteのKeynoteであまり言わないから油断してましたね？いっぱいありますよ。

Azure Application Gateway

Virtual Machines

  • Availability of H-series VMs in Microsoft Azure
    • 以前こっそりそういうのがあるということが示唆されていた（らしい） HシリーズがGAしました。
    • 今はUS中南部だけ使える感じです。
    • Intel E5-2667 v3 (ターボアップして3.5 GHz), DDR4メモリにSSDなローカルストレージで上位サイズにはRDMAが付きます。HPC向けな感じですね。
    • CPUコアは8コアまたは16コアから選ぶ感じでメモリは56GB/112GB/224GB。
    • インスタンスサイズの命名規則が＜SKU: Standard/Premium＞_＜シリーズ名＞＜コア数＞＜特徴 メモリならm、RDMA付ならrで両方ならrm＞みたいな付け方になったみたいですね。

  • L-seriesがアナウンスされました。

L-series are storage-optimized VMs specially designed for applications requiring low latency, high throughput, large local disk storage such as NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, Cloudera and Redis), and data warehousing. Built on Intel Haswell processors (Intel® Xeon® processor E5 v3), L-series supports up to 6 TB of local SSD and offers unmatched storage performance. We will be rolling out L-series in the coming weeks.

  • Large instances of SAP HANA on Azure
    • SAP HANA on AzureがGAです。
  • IPv6がサポートされました。（GAです）
    • ネットワークのほうでも書きますがロードバランサーなどもIPv6対応なのでInbound、OutboundともにIPv6が使えます。
    • Linuxで使う場合はこのあたりを参考に

今日のメイン的な？ Azure Networking announcements for Ignite 2016

  • Accelerated NIC
    • より高速・低レイテンシなネットワークに対応するために拡張されてるようです。（紐づくVMのインスタンスサイズで制限はかかるでしょうけど）
    • SR-IOV（Single Root IO Virtualization）の恩恵を受けるぽい。
    • ネットワーク内部としては25Gbpsになった様子。（スライドは25Mbpsってなってるけどどう見ても間違い）
    • DS15v2/D15v2のVMのネットワークスループットが25Gbpsまでって書いてますね。
    • 使い方はこちら的な。 Accelerated networking for a virtual machine
  • ExpressRoute用のSKUにUltra Performanceが追加されました。（ExpressRoute Gatewayのスループットが10Gbps）
  • IPv6サポート
  • 複数IPアドレス/NIC サポート
    • 1つのNICに最大250のプライベートまたはパブリックのIPアドレスを設定できるようになりました。
    • NSGやUDRにも対応してるのでうまく活用すればトラフィックを分散させたりできます。ネットワーク仮想アプライアンスとかで利用が広がりそうですね。
  • Internal Load Balancer（ILB）で複数IPアドレス（VIP）サポート
  • Active-Active VPN Gateway
  • VNET PeeringがGAです。
  • Application Delivery Controller (ADC)が導入されてるみたいです（詳細よくわからず）。WebSocketサポートとかあるのでApplication Gateway（やLoad Balancer）とTraffic Managerを補完するらしいですけど。
  • モニタリングの向上
    • ポータル上でApplication Gatewayのパフォーマンスを参照したりNSGのイベントとかカウンターを見たり
    • 監査ログを見たりアラート設定したり。
  • NSGのトラブルシュートがだいぶ楽になったり
    • ルールをレビューしてVMやNICにたどり着くときにどういうルールが適用されるか検証できるみたいですね。

Key Vault

Key Vault Certificatesという機能がGAしたようです。（まだドキュメント見当たらない…）
主にSSL/TLS用の証明書の管理に使えて自動更新とかしてくれそうな感じなのですが。

Key Vault Certificates, a new functionality with the Microsoft Azure Key Vault service that helps simplify tasks associated with SSL/TLS certificates will be generally available from today. This enhancement will help you enroll for certificates, automatically renew certificates from supported third party Certificate Authorities while providing auditing trails within the same Key Vault environment. 価格表のところにも一応それっぽいことが書いてます。

Key Vault does not issue certificates or resell certificates from CAs. Key Vault provides the ability to simplify and automate certain tasks on certificates that you purchase from Public CA’s, such as enroll and renew.
