Virtual Machines

• Generation 2 virtual machines in Azure – Public Preview
• 第2世代なVMがPublic Previewです。
• 具体的にはUEFIブートサポート、VMのDisk ControllerもSCSIになったり2TB以上（12TBまで）のOS DiskサポートなどHyper-VのGen2準拠なVMが動かせるようになった感じ。
• ただ現状Previewの制限としてはPremium Storageのみ、ASRやDisk暗号化、Shared Imageギャラリーなどは未対応です。同様にオンプレHyper-VではサポートされるSecure BootやvTPM、VHDXなども未サポート。
• 起動やインストール速度の向上など期待できそうかな。

Azure Kubernetes Service

• Azure Kubernetes Service での Windows Server コンテナー サポートのプレビューのお知らせ
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) now supports Windows Server containers
• k8s 1.13.5と1.14.0でWindowsコンテナーを正式サポート。AKSの最新バージョンもそれらのバージョンなのでWIndowsコンテナーをAKSで動かすことができます。（Preview）
• Google Kubernetes EngineとAzure Kubernetes Engineが相次いでWindows Serverコンテナのサポートを開始

SQL Database

• General Availability: Time zone choice for Azure SQL Database Managed Instance
• Managed Instanceでタイムゾーン指定がGA。

• SQL Database serverlessの価格と性能の話。ウォームアップとか必要になるので注意しましょう。
